General information

Cyprus Cubing League is a local speedcubing tournament organized by Cyprus Cubing. It's open to everyone who can solve a Rubik's cube. The one season lasts for 8 Tours (8 monthly competitions).

Every tour is a separate competition that has 5 events:

• Main event - it's always a solving "3x3x3" cube
• Small event - solving either "2x2x2", or "Pyraminx", or "Skewb"
• Long event - solving either "Megaminx" or big cubes like "4x4x4", "5x5x5"
• Rare event - solving either "3x3x3 One-Handed", or "Square-1", or "Clock", or “3x3x3 Blindfolded”
• Bonus event - any other events

For most of the events, participants have 5 attempts. The average of 3 attempts (best and worst attempts are excluded) counted as a result.

When results are entered into the system, the participant gets his score calculated by the formula:

EVENT SCORE = ( AVERAGE_LEAGUE_RECORD / AVERAGE_OF_5 ) * 100

<aside> 💡 Example: Participant made 5 attempts. His average result is 13.00 seconds. The League Record for Average 3x3x3 is 11.37. So... SCORE = 11.37 / 13.00 * 100 = 87 points

The sum of all points earned for all events is the final participant's score for the Tour.

The sum of all points earned during the Season shows the participants ranking in the League Standing.

Depending on age, participants are divided into 4 Leagues:

• Primary League (13-25 y.o.)
• Middle League (11-12 y.o.)
• Junior League (<11 y.o.)
